Terms and Conditions
- The online sale shall be conclusive once an order is placed and payment effected.
- The order is prepared on a First Come First Serve basis.
- Delivery is made at the pre-chosen place of delivery “Collection Points”, available on www.sms.mu website.
- Deliveries are done within (24 Hours) of the validation of the order. The normal delivery time is 10:00 till Noon and as from 17:00 till 19:00hrs.
- Customer shall be informed of the delivery date, as well as “Collection Point” via SMS.
- Delivery shall be made upon presentation of the SMS confirmation received by the customer.
- If ever customer fails to collect their order (PERISHABLE GOODS AND FROZEN FOOD) within the time frame mentioned in the SMS confirmation, such food shall be given to poor and needy persons in the vicinity of the delivery point. Customer hereby irrevocably agrees upon validating their order, to irrevocably subscribe to the present clause and to waive any claim in respect of any failure to collect their order (frozen and perishable products) on the date mentioned in the SMS confirmation and irrevocably agrees that same may be donated to poor and needy persons in the vicinity of the delivery point.
- SMS.mu online shopping reserves the right to cancel an order or to stop accepting any order(s), should the supply of the products be interrupted. The customer shall accordingly be informed of same and refunded (wherever applicable).
- At collection points, clients shall observe the social distance rule of keeping 1 metre at least from any person failing which their accounts will be closed.
- SMS.mu online shopping reserves the right to close any account without having to give any reasons.
- Any dispute shall be resolved at the level of customers complaints office and if unresolved in the courts of Mauritius.
- BUYING FRUIT / MEAT / VEGETABLES IN KG – When you order in kg, you will pay from your account for the weight that you have ordered. We shall endeavour to give you the exact weight but this is not always possible and in which case we shall settle to the nearest weight that you have specified. Your account will be adjusted accordingly with a debit or a credit.
- Some products are basic food essentials where prices and supply are controlled by the Government. Some other products are not controlled by the Government but yet essentials and scarce at a particular point in time. We allow a maximum purchase per order. It is the duty of the client to buy responsibility with a judicious duty of care to other households in order to ensure a fair distribution to one and all.
Purchase Protection
Your purchase is protected if:
- The product was purchased on our platform.
- The item you received was damaged, defective or is different from the item described on the page by the seller.

- You make a complaint.
- Your account is in good standing.
Guaranteed Payment
If the item purchased does not match up to the description or if it has not arrived on the scheduled date beyond your control, your refund is guaranteed. You will receive the money within (7) days of finalizing the dispute.
